The Recreation Class Program offers non-credit instruction in more than 50 recreational activities in fitness, martial arts, dance, sports and aerobics. We are looking to expand the breadth and depth of our program. Recreation Classes are offered at a variety of times throughout the week and on weekends. All classes are taught in one of the three multipurpose rooms at the Student Recreation Center, are non-academic and focus on learning and fun for the entire campus community. At this time, we are taking applications from individuals to augment existing classes as well as ideas for new classes to help us reach our goal of offering something for everyone.

Qualifications:
  1. Must have previous experience instructing group classes.
  2. Must have current certifications from an accredited national organization, such as AFAA, ACSM, ACE, for fitness classes, etc.
  3. Must have current CPR/First-Aid Certification.
  4. Must provide examples of curriculum or lesson plans for class(es).

Student Custodians

The SRC is currently looking to fill 2-3 openings in the student custodial position. This position requires the successful candidates to work between the hours of 6am-12pm. The SRC will work around class schedules and there is a maximum of 19 hours of work per week.

Summary of Duties:

Cleans the Student Recreation Center, sweeping, mopping, dusting, shampoos carpets, removes trash, waxing of floors and washing windows. Set up chairs and tables for special events. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary:
$9.00 per hour.

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports employs approximately 70 student employees to operate sporting events held generally at night and on weekends. Pay starts at $8.20/hr with an average of 8 to 15 hours per week. All hiring information for the available positions for Intramural Sports please contact Kevin Martin
